Commentary: China's first emperor-Qin Shi Huang whose ancestor kept horse for emperor-Zhou in a place called Xiquanqiu, 2700 years ago, in Gansu Gangu they established the first county in China even in the world, spending 800 years in total, gathering the strength to defeat the federal governors to unify China, and to develop a centralized system of prefectures and counties, which was followed by the world and continue to today. These gold foil and containers with obvious characteristics of western culture has found in a sheikh’s tomb of Zhangjiachuan Gansu province, buried in the ground more than 3,000 years. Obviously, long before the opening of Silk Road when Zhang Qian was sent on a diplomatic mission to the western regions officially recognized in 202 BC, the Han Dynasty, Gansu and the West have already had the barter trade. Commentary: The symbol in stean of Dadi Bay in Gansu is recognized as the oldest character of China. The earliest Chinese paper was found in Gansu Province. The basic material of Chinese calligraphy are paper, ink, writing brush, and inkstone. The first priority for the paper is to pass battlefield information. In Han Dynasty, China is eager to conquer the Western Regions, launching wars over and over again to expand territory and border. Han bamboo slips and paper residues unearthed in Dunhuang and Loulan recorded this historical fact. Zhang Zhi, honored as China's master calligrapher, is from Dunhuang, Chinese Dunhuang calligraphy school came into being at that time.

Commentary: There are dozens of dialects in Gansu. These dialects is mainly based on Chinese, but also mixed with the Turkic, Mongolian Altai language. Some literal translation from the language, for example “head” in Mongolian pronounce "Duo le gu", central region of Gansu share the same pronounce as "Duo le gu." There are the oldest classical Chinese in Gansu dialect, for example “service” is called "Cihou" and so on. Today, Gansu Mandarin is known as "Beijing Lanzhou accent." This accent has brought up many famous host and hostess such as Shui Junyi, Li Xiuping, Zhu Jun and so on. Gansu dialects differ from each other among near regions, such as greeting way: "Where are you going? Have you eat something?
